Warning: when choosing [PREM] Torpedo Container as an option in the bottom weapon row please keep in mind the following:

  • You will need to assemble the opening hatches yourself using wires that are supplied. This means you need a nipper capable of cutting mild steel 0.3mm wire. Or you can just glue them in the open/closed position
  • The only compatible weapons in the top row are slimline weapons, container and triple canister should you want to retain the ability to open/close hatch doors.

Lore:

The Atlas-class bulk transport was among the heaviest transport spacecraft ever constructed by the Imperial Fleets. Originally designed to move ore, prefabricated habitats, and entire regiments across interstellar distances, its immense cargo capacity came at the cost of agility and combat performance. During intense conflicts, several Atlas hulls were hastily refitted with battleship-grade weaponry. While the enlarged hulls could physically carry massive rail cannons and lance batteries, the transport’s civilian power plants were never intended to sustain prolonged combat operations. Crews often joked that an Atlas could fire a broadside capable of crippling a cruiser—once. Thereafter, power shortages frequently forced captains to choose between shields, propulsion, or weapons.

Naval historians often compare the class to the armed merchantmen and auxiliary cruisers of earlier ages. The Atlas possessed enormous endurance, exceptional damage tolerance, and the logistical capacity to support entire campaigns. Yet it remained vulnerable to dedicated warships that could dictate range and tempo. Among the most famous vessels was the Indomitable Burden, which survived three fleet actions during the Kharos Rebellions despite suffering catastrophic structural damage. Another, the Mercy’s Weight, became legendary for evacuating over two million civilians under fire, its improvised armor holding long enough to escape despite losing nearly all offensive capability.

This is a 3D printed product made of UV hardened resin. Models are cleaned and completely cured with UV light.

Before printing, a support structure needs to be added to the models, these are normally removed after printing, but leave “scars” on the model. These are production-related and do not represent a defect in the product.
Support structure might still remain on the model and can be removed with a sharp hobby knife.

Resin dust is a health hazard if inhaled into the lungs. Grinding and filing is not recommended. Otherwise, such work should only be carried out with appropriate protective equipment (fine dust mask) and/or wet sandpaper.

It’s possible that the models are hollow. In this case, the model has drainage holes through which the liquid resin could leak out. The inside of the model was then also cured. Drainage holes can be closed with modelling putty.

Resin heat-sensitive and can therefore deform during the printing process, during the removal of the support structures or during curing. Hot water or a heat gun/hair dryer can quickly remedy this. The affected part is heated and then carefully bent into the correct position.
